This is a great space to write long text about your company and your services. You can use this space to go into a little more detail about your company. Talk about your team and what services you provide. Tell your visitors the story of how you came up with the idea for your business and what makes you different from your competitors. Make your company stand out and show your visitors who you are.

The Kings Closet

The Kings Closet & Kings Cupboard are vital areas of help for "kings" that may be in "transition." The Kings Closet is an excellent array of gently worn men's clothing that we use to assist men with short-term clothing needs.
The Kings Cupboard is a food pantry for incidental food needs for men aligned with our mid-week worship service: Brother2Brother. This pantry isn't designed for men to visit regularly; instead, it's intended to be a "bridge" between tough times. We are accepting clean, gently worn men's clothing and non-perishable food items.

Saving Our Sons

Or “S.O.S,”
Since 2002 our local community has become a mere reflection of the many urban areas throughout the United States: A Battle Ground. Unfortunately, with any conflict, there are casualties. The casualties from this conflict, in and around West Michigan, specifically, Grand Rapids, are our young men.
In 2008 Life Quest built a bridge to a targeted group of the 100 “alleged” most under-performing young men as designated by the Grand Rapids Police Department and the Grand Rapids Public Schools. Through S.O.S., Life Quest has connected with this selected audience to assess their needs according to their testimony of need. Through the previous engagement of this audience (14-24), our ministry has found that the majority of young men are engaged in petty crime, street-level drug trafficking, and territory violence via their claim of neighborhoods and streets.

Parade of Prayer for GRPS

Parade of Prayer for GRPS is a prayer initiative composed of a group of Christian men. They are diverse in race, denomination, education, age, and socio-economic status. Parade of Prayer gathers each Wednesday morning at different urban schools in the core of Grand Rapids to pray
for the needs that are represented among the student and faculty. We pray for physical protection, educational and economic advancement, stability in their home life, harmony among the staff and administration, personal spiritual devotion, and community support. Any men wishing to join us for the Parade of Prayer and would like to know the location of that week's prayer should contact us directly at [email protected].

Night Quest

Each Monday night for the past 12 years, Life Quest has endeavored to reach out to one of the most sought-after yet uncaptured, the audience for ministry in West Michigan: Young men. Life Quest designed Night Quest, a weekly, high level 5-on-5 basketball league, in two facilities, as a lure to offer life-changing ministry to this audience (that is noticeably absent from worship among the majority of our nation's churches on Sunday) by way of a worship setting during a break in play of this popular league.

HOPE Initiative

The HOPE Initiative is a quest to combat the temporary "roadblocks to prosperity" or employment. Life Quest's "Hope Initiative" engages up to 100 young men from the core urban area of Grand Rapids, ages 16-25, in a 40 hour series of workforce development workshops. These workshops identify it perceived, & authentic, roadblocks, and then to renovate their thinking of hopelessness into a mindset of becoming energized, purpose & performance-driven Men of God that are ready to obtain economic prosperity and sustainability. Each participant will receive a "Certificate of Graduation." The entire module will include daily devotions, reading material, and follow up. Enrollment into the Hope Initiative will be via referrals from local Probation/Parole officers, Pastors, and current program participants to our ongoing initiative Saving Our Sons. Each session throughout the year will be taught on the campus of the Life Quest Urban Outreach Center.

Brother 2 Brother

Each week approximately 100 men gather each Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at the Life Quest Urban Outreach Center for life-changing mediations delivered from a team of some of the most dynamic Pastors in West Michigan.

Our setting is comprised of men of all ethnic backgrounds, denominations, and socio-economic backgrounds. For the past five years, Brother2Brother celebrates our fellowship by hosting our annual men’s conference. The Michigan Men’s Weekend, in Lake City, Michigan (Timber Wolf Lodge). Annually this life-changing weekend offers men seeking a higher yet more profound, more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, where all the walls of brokenness, despair, and low self-esteem are torn down.
